I came across your recipe whilst looking for a tandoori spice mix for a new dish I have created and didn't want to use bought or packet mix. However, I notice you use red food colour. What is this exactly? Is this necessary? I thought the paprika and chili would give it its red colour. The reason I ask is because I try to avoid things like food colour as it is not always natural and the natural one is a beetle.

Thanks

Hi,

The first ingredient you list for Tandoori spice mix reads rather confusing - is it 10 cloves or just 1 - or what should it read?
