I just thought of expressing my apprechiation. Congratulations on a great job on creating and maintaining a web page on Ban gladesh. As a native Bangladeshi, I'm absolutely thrilled to see us on the n et. Just a note to let you know how helpful this information was to us as we wrote a cultural paper on Bangladesh. The only thing we had a hard time finding was the health behaviors and the traditional medicine practices, such as the faith healers (fakir). Otherwise, we really appreciated the terrific job you do at maintaining this information. Thank you very much! I never know what I will find on the WWW. I am a yogic scholar, having studied Sanskrit since 1990. I have also been studying Hindi and Guja rati, in anticipation of a planned visit to India this winter. I was l ooking for some Sanskrit, Hindi and Gujarati stuff on the web when I di scovered your home page. I have never studied Bengali, but I have alwa ys been intrigued by the Bengali script's variations from the "standard " Devanagari used for Hindi and Sanskrit. The symbol for the "1994 Int ernational Year of the Family", when rotated 90 degrees, looks to me li ke a letter of the Bengali script! Keep up the wonderful work on the ' net. Om Shri Saraswatyai Namah! Mike (Keval) Brooker, snail-mail @ 99 Wychcrest Ave., Toronto, ON Canada M6G 3X8. Dear Mr. Zunaid, this is a message from a grateful student of the motherland. I just want to thank you for your work in maintaining the Bangladesh Homepage. I am a student at North Idaho College. While browsing through the Netscape I came across the Homepage. I was rather impressed and feel proud. In Idaho the local students lack of Geography is just apalling. And I am just tired of people coming up to me and assuming that I am from India. I have been pestering the Bangladesh Embassy for some information but due to lack of response and financial constraints, I gave in trying to help the people of Idaho to learn about our country. Now at last they can access first hand information thanks to you. Once again thank you very much. I sincerely apologize if I have taken too much of you time. Khoda hafez. Thank you, thank you, thank you! While I am new to the net, I can tell that your homepage is exceptional. As soon as finished browsing the first time (this is the second), I immediately phoned home and told my family about this wonderful site and about all the information on Bangladesh one could access from it. I agree with commentor #108 in that your homepage inspires me with such feelings of pride and nationalistic love for my birthland that I feel like calling all my friends over and sharing my pleasure in my country with them. As I peruse the pages and the other comments I cannot but agree that you have done a wonderful thing for Bangladesh. Please keep up the good work. While I am new to computer land, I would love to help you in anyway that I can. I am very interested in the idea posed by another commentor that we make your site a meeting/gathering place for Bengalis, or whoever is so inclined to meet. I have made a link to your pages, and hope you will help us to make links to our pages. We want children/youth all over the world to read about our positive experiences from this project. Hope other children will get interest for this kind of projects. We have warm feelings for Bangladesh and will never forget the beautilful country and warm people. If you have ideeas where to make our information known please send me a mail. I and two other persons are going to Bangladesh tomorrow to visit KAchi Kanchar Meala. We are going to install an Internet Computer for the cildren organisation. This will make it easier to communicate for the children in both countries. We will use e-mail, text-chat and hope also to use internet phone in the future. Best regards Arnt K}re Asbj|rnsen Arendal, Norway Dear Kazi: You are doing a great job on the Net. It is a beautiful site. You are very dedicated that's why I have a suggestion; may be you can promote Bangladesh to world communities economically also. Bangladesh is desperately looking for foreign investment to join the wave of development happening in Southeast Asia. What I felt that Bangladesh is not getting attention due to poor image she has among the world communities. Bangladesh need to change her image in the world, from the one is given by Henry Kissinger to one she aspire to be. Another revulationary idea is to move away from South Asian bad policy to rather have sound policy of Southeast Asia. May be We can imitate not Japan but Korea or Indonesia or Thailand. Keep up the good work. I am in NY. Saalam. apnar Page-ti shotti-i great. Jotobari ashi, totobari obak hoi. amar ekta-i suggestion ase, sheta holo, jodi kisu JOKES add korte paren.
